I'm afraid to go look at this one because i love these boats...and I don't need another one right now...but it sure would be fun!!:evilb::evilb::cool::cool: |
Hope the fish swim fast
|
That one would be especially good for your area on the GOM..knowing that you have to run out 40~50 miles to get to the fishing grounds. That one would do it fast and comfortably.
Runnunning out 45 Minutes at 60 would be no strain for that rig and would put you back inside quickly if you knew of weather headed your way. |
We don't have to run real far. Plenty of good fishing.

That boat doesn't know what it wants to be.... But all the other boats want to be it haha
|
Oh it already is what it want's to be...a very rare and well restored Formula 233 SF Center Console that just happens to be capable of 70+ MPH!!!
Imagine this...you're headed out Haulover Cut in Miami Beach for a nice day of boating. You clear the bridge and throttle your Sport Boat up on a comfortable plane at about 35 MPH into a 5' inlet run of swells...you have a well equipped deep vee and you know how to run this inlet blind folded. You clear the last group of 5 footers and open her up to about 50~55...out of the corner of your eye you catch a flash of light green and watch as an old 233 Formula runs by you like you're sitting still. You think "WTF..over". expecting a good running 350 MPI or 383 pushing this thing you run up to 65 expecting to close on that old 233 like a Patriot Missile. But what is this?...the old 233 is pulling away with the gap increasing like Obama Taxes!! You can run 75 but surely you don't have to...but you do...but he's already too far ahead and not letting up. After 10 miles of this you pull back and wonder...."What the HELL was that?". Lick you wounds dude...he'll be in Bimini clearing customs in 20 minutes and you'll be a memory!! |
Except.......
As you line the palms on the way into Bimini, you see him bobbing around.....out of fuel.....cause he burned 73-1/2 gallons on plane for 39 minutes..... No argument about the boat though......would love to add it to the fleet.... |
