Speaker size in FASTech
Does anyone know the size and / or manufacturer of the speakers in the cuddy? Looking to possibly upgrade mine, along with a new amp. Does the amp control the cuddy speakers or just cockpit speakers? Might add two more cockpit speakers also. Looking at Polk Audio marine amps and speakers, not too high tech of a system, just enough to get nice listening volumes.

My 382 had 4 x 10's I think and were powered by one of the 2 amps in the boat, another amp powered the 4 6 x 9's in the cockpit. I changed the cabin speakers to power from the head unit only and bridged that amp to power subs I added under the rear bench. (I later changed to JL subs/amp and used that amp to power additional speakers I added in the cockpit.)

ok here is what i can remember. the speakers were controlled by the head unit. i had an amp that controlled the speakers in the cockpit. I think the speakers in the cuddy are 5 1/4"? the easiest way to get them out is to remove the 2 screws holding the tower to the side of the boat (these are covered by your berth cushions) once those are removed just pull the tower out carefully. that grey mesh thing covering the speaker should then just slide out and allows easy access to the speaker itself, held on by i think 4 screws. that whole grey mesh and they surrounding area may just fall out as well as i think its just friction holding it up there im having a hard time remembering....to much of that spray adhesive i think. i wouldnt mess with any of the wood or pulling anything else out, its a ***** to get back in. good luck, PM me if you have any more questions.

Awesome, thanks Chain Runner and t500 for the info. I will give a try at the end of the month.
