sbc to bbc swap
 

Hey all! My question is, will 454 twins drop right in to an 87 272 sr1 that had 350 twins in it? Motor mounts the same?? BB's coming out of an 88.

they will fit, exhaust holes in transom maybe different,

They will bolt in but that's about it . the exhaust will have to go on first when the motor goes in
And it has to be stock. Merc stuff as well . You barely will get a match book between the engines
.forget the hatch piston as well . And exhaust as stated will not fit . Big block boats are cut at the transom
Diff . Ask me how I know . Just had a guy up your way do a transom and move the holes out for b/b
. Peter do yourself a favor and put the 2 small blocks back in

I agree get newer stronger small blocks. With big blocks should have K planes too
