Delete power steering
Guys I want to delete my power steering off my 242ss alpha. I am just a little confused on what I have to do.
|
I would start by lifting weights and getting in shape.........

Why?????

Just one more component that can go bad in the future. I am trying to simplify the motor as much as possible. I also removed the water pump and installed a crossover.

Why is such a bad thing to remove? I would leave it as is, it's a very reliable system, and that boat would be miserable without. The torque steer as stated above will be terrible. Can't even go down the lake without a death grip on the wheel. |
Ok thanks for the info guys.

I agree, keep it. I've had the unfortunate luxary of having to steer the boat with only 1 of 2 engines working. It was a struggle and docking was no piece of pie either.

Popeye always relied on spinach. I have found the same to do the trick even steering my 311 that has 1100 hp
