Depends on how much night driving you plan to do. Sure blue LED gauges look nice all lit up at the dock but all boats come with red backlite gauges for a reason. Red at a low intensity is best for reading details on charts and instruments without losing your dark vision adaptibility. Colors really aren't the problem, the intensity is key. If you do blue, having the ability to adjust the intensity "brightness" would be a good idea.
If you don't plan on night driving, make them s*%7#s as bright as you can. LITE IT UP! |

I do take her out at night, mostly out for a sunset run and then back. Your point is well taken. I'll have to think about that one for a few before I get too far along. |
