Looking for a clean 292 w/o power

You never know until you ask...so if there is one out there without power or drives I may be interested. My preference is a SR-1 FasTech w/o power or drives but will entertain other possibilities.

I have a very clean 292 with power that is in very good shape. You could always sell the power if you didn't want it. Boat is on my lot: http://lakeozarksmarine.com/show.php...odel=&srt=make ASC&p=5&submit=Search

SR-1 and Fastech are two different hulls. I saw a 272 sr1 in the classifieds w/o power.

Oh boy I see those new engines being pulled and put into a 292, with curved glass this should be good. Well sprink there is nothing like a good project to keep ya going.

Just put mine up for sale (lots of upgrades in the electrical/electronic).

Sprink check out the 272 in OSO classifieds, almost bought it several years back, spent most of its life in Illinois

hydraulic steering is a nice plus

I've had a 272...nice boat but IF I move up it will be to a 292. To move from a 255 to 272 is sort of like walking across the street and turning around...no real difference. The 292 is a totally different animal....it feels a LOT different.

A 292 is about MY limit in a trailer-able boat. I can still tow it and launch it with my current tow vehicle....plus get it in and out of my driveway. I could park a 36 footer in my driveway but I couldn't get it in and out with out driving all over my across the street neighbors front yard. I have parked a 302 at my place so i know a 292 will work.

I am spoiled in having my boat at my house and don't want to give that up. I had a 40' Sea Ray that stayed in the water at a marina and it was a pain to drive across town just to do anything to my boat.

Sweet boat...I would like it better with my power and my drives :).

You're going to make life real interesting for me if you drop those new motors in a 292 and start seeing numbers 75-80. But i have to tell you, the 292 wants more power than the stock 6.2's deliver. Not saying they are under powered, but the boat is so stable at 65-70, that speeds approaching 80 should be no problem as long as you have hydraulic steering and use good common sense.

keep us posted.

I had the opportunity to take one offshore recently with warmed up 6.2's that impressed the socks off of me. I ran the snot out of it in 3-4' seas ...caught air...did stupid stuff...and never did the boat feel that it was even close to it's peak. Very well balanced, great tracking and solid as a rock. The Formulas just keep getting better in all respects.

No reason to buy just send the mills to me and I will put them in my 292 and tell you all about it. I will even let you drive when you come to visit.

I have a better idea...bring yours here and I'll put my power in it and you can come here in the winter when it's 20 degrees in Cullman and thaw out in some 80* weather...LOL
