Glad to here it's time. Hoping you have a fun filled and uneventful season :)

As a fellow 330SS owner, I've been thrilled to see all the work you've put into the boat and watched every minute of it. Can't wait to see a video of you out having fun on it (finally).

I re-did a 330ss myself, It was a lot of work and no where near what you did. Great job! We just had to pull engines and do transom assembly rebuilds with new gimble rings bellows ect, and replace a ton of other hurricane damaged parts. I was actually terrified seeing your posts, I was hoping that we didn't have the same issue. Everything looks nice and dry and tested dry in the survey after we put it all back together.

Launched !!! :D

Today was launch day and things went fairly well.

Lots of cleaning and prep work. Here is the boat all cleaned up and ready to go.

Here is the boat at our town dock . . . filling up the water tanks so the head now works.

The boat seems a lot stiffer than it did last year, so all of the structural work seems to have paid off. So, if you ever wonder if the foamed-in fuel tank is part of the structural strength of the boat . . . it is.

I am also glad that I bonded the cockpit sole to the stringer grid . . . that seems to have helped as well.

Thanks. I was sort of in a race to get it launched in time for July 4th weekend. Hopefully, it will be all good. :)

A quick update:

I've had the boat out a few times and in some fairly stiff chop . . . mainly 4 footers and 20-25 mph wind.

The boat handles the chop so much better than before the structural work. No real 'after shock' that I used to get when hitting a wave, just a real solid feel. So, things are really stiffened up by the work that was done . . . it is like a different boat. The thing 'dances' over a 2 foot chop, just like my 242.

So, it's a keeper . . . I'll try to get some 'action' videos next time out.

congrats thats a great feeling

This past weekend was fairly typical winds, which builds up a decent 3-4 foot 'chop' in the local waters. So. I was able to get some video in of going through the chop in a down wind run.

The boat feels and acts really solid going through the waves, now that I have had a chance to run it in more sea conditions. Last year, before all of this work, it felt fairly 'tender'.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDvWv_WMzX4 Later in the day we were going against the wind and into about a steady 4 foot chop. No videos of that though . . . I sort of had to pay more attention to things. Only saw 1 or 2 other boats out there later in the day . . . us and a Formula 242LS :)

This was an excellent thread. :D

Not only is your work top notch, it was awesome that you took the time to post the pics and videos. Not many people would do that on a job that is already a ton of work.

Hope you have a great rest of the summer!
