I recently inherited a 1977 Formula 20-CL that has been sitting in a dry dock since 93. The drain plug was not taken out and therefore some rain water got through the cover and filled the inside of the boat. There was water up to the bottom alternator on the engine. The oil didn't really show much or any water in the oil or power steering. I can manually turn the engine and prop so it's not seized. Nothing is really rusted out either.

Hoping someone can take a look at the pictures and give me some info on the parts I have so I know where to start looking when I get it home. I know that it is a GM V8 but don't know the exact size and I think that the drive is a TR?

Motor looks to be a 280 with those valve covers.

The tag on the carb states MCM280. That looks to identify a Mercruiser 280 and a TRS. It is a solid engine and drive package that should give you good reliable service. Enjoy the great boat.
