Bolster actuator rebuild company
 

For the archives, Crane Aerospace will rebuild your PL Porter Hydroloc's common in the older SR-1 bolsters. I just received mine back today, and they did a phenomenal job. They charge $98 per actuator, but they have a minimum charge that is over that, so you might as well have both rebuilt at once. They even send them back with an FAA flight worthiness certificate. Turn around was about 3 weeks including shipping.

It is a bit of a process as they don't really deal with the public. You will have to create an account with them, send the actuators in with a repair order or purchase order, fax them written approval of the estimate, and then they will actually rebuild them and ship them back.

Hopefully this will help somebody else in the future.

Thanks Matt I sent one out this winter to the tune of $250 plus shipping for my 242. I will keep them in mind next time I need to send one out.

Yes we are on the Center Harbor side of Moultonborough. We live here full time now and spend just about all of our free time on the lake.
