Alarms go off when I open up my 2006 370 SS
I just purchased a 2006 370 SS with captain's call and i'm having an issue with alarms going off. I opened up the boat and was going along beautifully at around 3700 rpms when all kinds of alarms started going off. Obviously I slowed down and I got a message that read "eng max exhausted" and I don't know what that means. All my gauges read normal and as long as I just cruise, the boat seems to perform fine. I tried this exercise twice with the same result. Any suggestions?

Did you try running with your captains call off?

What engines do you have?
Typically, you do not want to run any of the switchable underwater exhausts (Captain's Call, Quick&Quiet, etc) over 3000 rpm. It sounds like you may have some type of alarm programmed in somewhere telling you this. |
For some reason when I read that, all I could think of is "confusious say, "Water skier behind boat get exhausted".....Sorry....

Did you check the drive fluid reservoir level? That will set off a buzzer if low.

When you say you don't want to run them, do you mean you don't want to run the exhaust closed over 3k? That's what I have always been told. Although I've run them closed at WOT a few times and never had an alarm go off.
