I have a 1988 242LS that has had a lot of upgrades like paint, motor, and transom. The boat is red, white, and black. No bottom paint. Good trailer as well. It is located in MA. Email me at [email protected] if interested. I can send you some pictures.

Heres the one in cleve, cpl g's to high but looks very nice only drawback is the 454/alpha, go easy and u will be fine, never seen another 242 with that imron in yellow, very sharp

lakeoftheisles 08-05-2014 05:50 PM

The only yellow one iv seen in Cleveland that's yellow is a 206

Weren't you looking at the 242sr1 twin?
I may be a glutton for punishment but if the interior was raggy and all the real boat stuff was all in good order motors, fiberglass condition all the main stuff, i would talk him/her down to their limit bring it home work on it and have a really cool very hard to find boat that you recrated that anybody would like to own. If you buy right and shop around you can do a lot with 3 grand.
Just my .02

Look at Cleve Craig's, I thought I linked it earlier from the PC, guess I forgot, I'll do it tomorrow

I wish it was a Sr1 but it was just a regular 86 242ls with twins and the regular clear flat glass. It looked rough overall and I'm no boat expert so I never went as far as testing compression or getting someone to look at the hull. Did they ever make a 242 with twins and the curved windshield?

Nice setup! Little more than I want to spend though

Fischan 08-06-2014 07:14 AM

Thanks! Around here there are a couple for sale but none this clean. The 502 and bolsters also set it apart.

masi242 08-06-2014 01:17 PM

Yes a 242 with bolsters and a 502 don't come around all the time and looks to be in very nice condition, good luck with the sale.

Fischan 08-08-2014 11:47 AM

Thanks masi242!
