You're talking out of your ass. There are cats and V's with 2100HP that have an incredibly hard time getting on plane. So much so that aeration tubes are added to allow the props to blow out to get the revs up.

29 ft boat with twin engines that needs all that work to plane out? that sucks what was the designer thinking? my **** box with a single engine doesnt need that much work and will still do almost 60

Your HP loss computed from your HP of 320 at sea level and Elevation of 5000 feet is 48.00 HP loss.
Who doesn't think he doesn't needs smaller props now ? and/or more gear ? or Nitrous ? LOL. |
Stimleck - why don't you try helping the OP ?
How would you like the next time you have a question that you want help on, some of us just tell you your boat is a hunk of schit so why bother ? Did you read my post just above your last one ? That's help. |
Wow.....

hey dip**** are you in the retard club also? those 2100 hp machines are specialized high speed off shore beasts they are not entry level junior offshore boats. Skaters porpoise more than the average boat at low speeds but hey are ****ing beasts at high speed, these are the types of sacrifices that should be expected for the absolute performance. The best anyone is doing on this thread is 70 Ha! you get beat by fully loaded bass fishermen lmao!
Just because 3 or 4 of you suckers are driving he same chitty hull doesnt mean its justified, when you are doing 90 or are more than 38 feet you can then make excuses for chitty performance |
Hey, looks like Stimleck get's his chance,
He just started a thread asking for advice. How's this for his own answer back ? http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/d...nge-valve.html hahahahahahahahaha |

My boat is over 38 feet, does 94 MPH at 3600' elevation, 98 MPH in the ocean and I have the same "chitty" hull as everyone on this thread. I don't need to make excuses though, it performs great! I pass cats all day long when the water gets rough, the rougher the better!

Thanks for all the great advice! I'll keep working til I get it. practice. practice, practice.
I'm still not sure what prop drop I need for my elevation. Formula says 24Ps for 5000 ft. on up. Will try to contact bblades for another opinion, seems 28Ps are for sea level. and yes, 24p will make the boat plane a lot faster.

Suggest you check the position of your trim-in limit spacers in the outdrives. See what 4mulafastech wrote here: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/p...ml#post3838961
