Timleck,

You are clearly way out of your element. To compare a Ferrari to an Acura is the kind of statement that had me spraying my monitor with coffee as I laughed so hard.

So, Tommy drove YOUR boat, in a poker run, that you "won"? How exactly did you "win"?

I'd love to see some pictures of you and Tommy on the 38 Scarab...

Wow-
I never thought I would see so much commenting on negativity of stupidity having no originality on the perplexity of the autrocity that you all have emphatically and diabolically confused me with!
I have a headache!
.....but I also have a 292 with Stock 28p wheels, scrapped the silencer tips for straight tips (direct from Corsa), and scrapped the Bennets for 280-S K-Planes......a challenge to install (plumbing wise) but WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!
It planes in record time, stays on plane at 25-28MPH and runs 72 WOT which is plenty for that boat, and plenty for my wife and her friends....as they don't want to get to the next waterfront bar any faster.....If you do those 2 things and fill it up with Gas, you will have a Great Worry-Free Happy, Rock Solid, Fast, Fun, and Plentiful Day out on the Water.
Why mess with a good thing?, just a slight improvement in her attitude (ie: trim and sound) and she is perfect!
All Good Here!

How about posting a picture of you and Tommy from Chief in your Scarab. You must have taken a picture to remember that day...

It's really easy. You remove the long bolt that holds the back of the drive trim cylinders at the back of the drive. The "spacer" looks like a white celery stick. The hole in the drive is oblong, front to back. Based on the above post, the celery stick should be at the FRONT of the hole, and the bolt at the rear. If you look closely at the back of the drive, you should be able to tell where it is without removing anything.

Checked my trim in position and it was already moved forward, Got some 24P props coming. found out circuit breaker for tabs was popped from playing around too much. Going to Lake Powell on Labor day weekend to test out everything.
Thanks again for all the input and insight!
Best to All,
Tedorama

Thanks for the update and good luck! It will be interesting to see what rpm you get with the 24P at wot and drives trimmed for top speed.
