Looking for a clean 357
After selling our 242 we are going bigger. As much as we like the 353/382 it's just more than I'm comfortable spending at the moment. We want to do some over nights and be as comfortable as possible. 357 is the most bang for our dollar. Finding one is the tough part! At this point I would only consider bravo 1's and 502's and better. Any help in the search will be most appreciated!

Thanks for keeping an eye out for me. Jake, there really is no budget so to speak, it'll be a 21 year old boat at best so fair market value is the limit.
|
I called on the one in loto about 6 weeks ago. There were a couple issues that popped up with their in house survey that I didn't care for. I asked for more pictures and they said they would get them for me but never did. The 4 pictures in the craigslist ad are the same 4 they took when they first listed it on their personal website.
I'm still looking but don't plan on buying until the spring now. |

I know of a 357 kamma drive boat. 700na hp big cubic inch. If that interests you
|
Kamma drives aren't friendly with kids and parts are too hard to get when the inevidible happens. 336's are cool but lack the old school appeal. At this point I'm not looking to buy until spring, our summer is already over. The plan now is to find some to keep an eye on through winter. Thanks, it will be worth the wait if everything pans out!

I was looking at that one for a contingent to my 382 plans but things didn't work out the way I wanted and I got my stroked TRS 357. That Kamma big inch 357 is awesome; I like it but I wanted more amenities in the cabin. |
I know of 2 in my area, one is in Gloucester and the other in Newburyport, MA.
Neither are posted on the web that I can find. Both Clean TRS boats. |
I found one with bravos and black 502's. The only things I didn't care for were aluminum trailer, back seat has the bucket style dividers and 800 hours on the stock motors. The overall condition is spot on. Should 800 hours on stock 502's worry me?
|
Might be good for another 200 to 400 hours!
And might not! |
Did you find one ? Just had a clean sr1 roll out twin 400hp 454, Trs still had orig tv with knobs , a real time capsule ,and I think he is ready to sell .almost positive it had the 72c's also .
|
I haven't found one yet. Actually looking at a few other sizes now too, we love the 353's but don't want it to own us. 382 middle step child non step is also in the right price range. If they only made a 353 non step....the right size and price!

How is the search going for a 357?
When you started searching I was not thinking to sell. Now that we are going for a 419 my 357 is for sale. It has TRS drives rather than bravos and the engines are 500HP but this power comes from stroked 454's. The cabin has AC/Heat with all the other factory stuff plus central vac in the cockpit. Nice boat if your still looking you can message me. |
