Windscreen ?

Hi WES, I removed the windscreen on my 357...It is one of the most difficult jobs there is on that boat. Be prepared to have special swivel sockets and long extensions..(maybe you wont need the extensions if you remove your glass). Take down headliner, door, moldings, also some woodwork, over the sink area, and in bathroom. this will give you access to the nuts and washers on the bottom side. It really is a job for the pro's. i.e. never again!! I have some pics of mine with the windscreen it looks better than the windshield. Good luck, Mark

I had to replace some screws that had broken at the middle of the windshield on my 272. There were no bolts, just undersized SS screws, maybe #6. I pulled the middle section of the headliner out anticipating having to put bolts and nuts on it, but ended up just drilling new holes and running in larger screws (I ran standard zinc plated steel screws in first to cut the threads, then backed them out and used SS after stripping the head off the first SS screw I tried to use.) I have yet to pull the entire windshield off, but need to so I can replace the weatherstripping. I'm not really looking forward to it.

As well my weathstriping is coming out in a small area, so changing this is not high on the list but it will need to be done somday so if anybody does it please give up the info.

I am also thinking about painting the dash white on my 95 303sr1 but if I have to take the interior apart to remove the windshield I may leave it black. Does anyone know if a 303 windshield is through bolted or is it screwed on? Thanks
