We got a lot more info about the event that will be shared soon (maybe later tonight or tomorrow). We will have an exact breakdown of all that is going on now that we have it all in stone!

Also we launched a www.formulaownersofnewjersey.com site for those who like to follow us but do not like to use social media! Give it a look!

Also we are at 21 Formulas committed for the 6th Annual Birds on the Bay already!

This sounds like a great event! With all my other projects going on I'm not sure I'll have the 303 back in the water by then but maybe I'll bring my 252BR up and stay in a hotel or something... Always like to meet fellow Formula owners!

Jordan,

We are towing our 353 Fastech up for the event. I would figure that very soon we will have all the specifics for this event. I know IDCE and Splitdecision are working hard to get things together. Not certain that we will be sleeping on the boat...We will definitely want to stay in the nicest hotel we can find close to the event....or I'll just get drunk and pass out on the boat...Wendy is going to love this...lol....

Badmonkey if you want the nicest in the area you want to look at Point Pleasant beach area. Something like White Sands. Those hotels book up early and even some of the ones I listed book up quick because it is a summer vacation destination so you would want to really get your reservation on early.

Specifics will be delivered soon. I have to get a chance to sit behind a computer and compose a layout of BOTB 2015.

The 6th Annual BIRDS on the BAY Formula Rendezvous Weekend

This is going to be one special event that you do not want to miss this summer! After 5 years the FOONJ family decided to one-up our previous efforts and give our event a purpose. A little guy Tyler was diagnosed recently with Dravet Syndrome which has a lot of unexpected expenses which no family plans for. We redesigned the Birds on the Bay Rendezvous to be able to raise money for such causes through owner participations and generous sponsorships.

Comstock Marina (New Jersey's Formula Dealership) has offered their assistance this year and opened their doors to us. They supplied slips as well as a catered dinner. We also have 3 Live Entertainment acts booked for the day. There will be a "Captain's Fee" of $115 that will cover the Captain and the vessel which includes the costs of a slip with power, water and amenities, entertainment all day, and a catered dinner. "Captain's Mates" Fee (attendees other than the captain) will be $15 per mate. All monies collected from attendance will be donated directly to the family!

Saturday, August 22nd will be a full day at the marina which will be a our main event day. Sunday, August 23rd we will do a group cruise, for whomever is interested, to a local cove and do a "Sunday Funday" Formula hangout. The cove is protected from winds and you simply nose up on sand no worries about anchoring or rafting up.
Every year we push the envelope further in making BOTB a more enjoyable experience. To ensure proper accommodations for all, RSVPs are critical and asked that they are given as soon as possible. This event will be rain or shine because of the vendors and commitments made prior.

Official BOTB 2015 Detailed Information Guide

Saturday, August 22nd - Event begins 9:00AM - We encourage all attendees to arrive around 9:00AM to get to acquainted and settled into their slips.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Entertainment -

"Justified" - Cover Band (11am-1pm)

Bill Stasse - Guitarist/Vocalist (2pm-5pm)

Geno Marriott - Itunes recording artist/Saxophonist (6pm-10pm)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Food -

Catered Saturday Dinner sponsored by Comstock (6:00pm) Clams, Burgers, Chicken, Sausage & Peppers, etc INCLUDING a Pig Roast!

Following the Jersey Food Truck Festival craze we are lucky to have award winning gourmet food trucks with culinary chefs come to the marina to offer lunch on Saturday and breakfast/coffee on Sunday morning. We told them about our event and how we needed somewhere for our attendees to buy food from and they were happy to help us in our efforts by giving us just that! So why worry about cooking or packing food on the boat?!?

Romanos Disco Fries - Serving lunch on Saturday. They will serve their famous "disco fries" along with gourmet sliders, dogs, salads and more.

The Fork In The Road - Recent winners of the "Best on a Bun" award at this years Food Truck Wars. They will be serving breakfast and coffee on Sunday morning.

The Ice Cream Shop of Manahawkin's Ice Cream Truck - Serving all homemade ice cream from their main location in Manahawkin and their specialty fresh made donuts! Saturday evening.

- Event Coverage -

So far the event has been covered by Speed on the Water. Well-known professional boating event photographer Sharkey-Images will be at the event.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sunday Funday" @ the Cove

Sunday morning we will grab some breakfast from the Fork in the Road and then for those interested head out to the "local cove". The cove is protected from all the elements we battled in the past for our raft-ups. Also you just nose up onto sand, with no need to anchor or raft-up to anyone. We will just have a chill day hanging out on the water with fellow Formula Owners before we go our own ways. The big boats, ips drives, etc can moor outside the cove and dinghy in if wanted.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Questions or concerns should be directed to [email protected]!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Captain's & Mate Fees aka Donations -
Captain's Fee - $115
Mate - $15

Our generous sponsors helped us set up an event that is going to be amazing. Now to raise money for the family we need attendees to come and enjoy the party! If you were on the edge of coming for the past 5 years FOONJ held the Birds on the Bay this year we need you to really make the effort! More the merrier, if you have friends bring them along they are considered a "Mate". As we get closer we will set up where to send the donation to, and at that time we will have full commitment from you in which we will fill in the slip assignments. If you cannot make the event but would still like to make a donation contact us, it would be greatly appreciated. Tyler and family are planned to be joining us in the fun at the Rendezvous.

We hope to see you!

Hey IDCE, Congratulations on what I'm sure will be a very fun event. Don't own a Formula but love raft ups and gatherings. Was wondering what cove you had decided on for the get together. Was thinking about cruising by and giving a wave to your wonderful event. I live on a lagoon off Silver Bay in Silverton. Hope to see you out on the water this Summer. Steve.

All,

This is with much disappointment that we will NOT be able to attend this years event due to change in families schedule. We know that this was going to be a highlight event for us this year but family comes first. We wish all attendees the very best of times and everyone safe travels to and from this event. We hope to be able to attend the next one. Maybe we will get a chance to see some of you at some point this summer season.

Best wishes,

Chris.
