Chillin The Most
Well as I am sure all of you are as anxious as we are to get back on the water, I thought I would share our status update. Chillin is having new cockpit cover made as well as a full cover to keep her protected from the suns damaging rays. We should have the boat back from the trim shop at the end of the week then it goes to our new marina. This season with having a bigger boat we decided to keep it at a local marina in the high and dry. I think this will work out best considering I am major OCD and if not able to always clean it I would probably die...lol. We hope to have her in the water by next week.... :boat: Big Brother "AXA" is probably going to fly down from NY to take the maiden voyage with us and show us the ways of "Chillin"....weather pending of course. If there is not good weather he will not be able to flap his arms fast enough to get here...lol. How cool is that? The man you bought the boat from is going to travel from NY to spend time with you and show you all the little things of your new boat on the water!!!! :cheer: Big Brother Rocks....:Score-101010:
We have planned a bunch of runs for this summer. Powerboating for a Cure in Va Beach, Jammin on the James, get to do a "guys run" in mid May, FOONJ Rendezvous in August, may also take it up to the Atlantic City OPA race weekend....TBD. We are lucky to be so close to Baltimore's Inner Harbor. At Pier 6 they have concerts all summer long...we plan on attending several concerts via water and enjoying the luxuries of "Chillin". There is nothing like chillin out on the boat listening to the likes of "Yes", "Santana", "George Thoroughgood", etc...:cool-smiley-026: Hope to get the chance to see all my buddies soon. We wish you all a safe and enjoyable season on the water. If you see "Chillin The Most" at a dock bar near you, don't hesitate to come say hello.....:ernaehrung004: |
Sounds like an awesome season is ahead! You now have one of the baddest 353's around and that is great Axa is helping you get used to the new boat.

Chris - If your interested in meeting the FOONJ crew ahead of the August Rendezvous, don't forget about the AC Rendezvous that FormulaBoatsForum puts on in July.
I'd like to see how your cockpit cover turns out. I've been patching mine here and there for the past few years. Thinking it might be time for a new one myself |
Sounds good I am.hoping to bust a bottle of champagne on mine on a day

Don't have long and you will be down here in VA. Looking forward to seeing ya.

The schedule sounds great, but I didn't see the LOTO Shootout, have fun with the new boat I'm sure you're going to be super happy with her.

As you all can see, Dave -(aka AXA) took a photo of me running "Chillin The Most" for the first time this Saturday. The boat is more than you could ever imagine. I am over the top amazed, excited...lost for words. And speaking of being lost for words, Dave flies down here Saturday morning 16 hrs. after speaking with him on Friday afternoon just because he wanted to make sure that everything went well with the first launch of the boat. He spent all day with me...showing me all the little things of the boats operations.... Dave is "TRUE FRIEND"..."A BIG BROTHER"...I am lost for words for what that meant to me. This is my first twin screw boat, a huge step up from a 26' Scarab and frankly a bit overwhelming. Dave has always said if there was anything I needed or help with he would be there...NO CHIT...who knew he was going to be physically next to me...AMAZING.
Dave, you are the "Big Brother". I am blessed to have you as my friend. I am honored to have the reins of "Chillin". She's in great hands and will always be praised about your mark on this boat. ....Funny bit, we get back to the marina Saturday early evening and the guys flushing and cleaning their 35' Fountain were in amazement of "Chillin". I can honestly say that made me feel really nice...it was also nice seeing Dave's face of being truly proud of what he had created. I was asked how fast she is.....somewhere around..... lol. Never ever show your cards.....lol I will get some photos posted here later today...I actually have to get some work done.... SUCKS!!!!...lol Chris |
Great news Chris. Now ya have to by a gold necklace with the Fountain Logo. LOL
|
I do believe that there is the look of a Happy Man!!! Glad all went well. That's cool that Dave flew in to share the 1st launch. Jealous that I'm not on the water yet. Saturday would have been beautiful I'm sure.

Cool! Not everyday does a seller do that for a buyer! Nice to hear there are people that go out of the way to make others happy and give them the warm and fuzzy feeling! I am looking forward to meeting you this summer and seeing the boat in person.

I know luck isn't the case but you lucky bast... !
Sweet ride ! |
All,
I am unable for some reason to post the photos of "Chillin The Most" from this past Saturday's maiden launch....it is saying to me that the files are too large. How do I make this work?...yes, I am computer stupid. :Whatever: I promised to show photos of the new covers, etc. If easier, I can email them to you...you can send me your email to [email protected] and I will get you photos for your drooling pleasure...lol  |
I usually use something to host the pics and then just use the [img] function whenever I post to forums. I use Facebook and also Photobucket as the hosts. You have platinum status so you can just upload to oso which is easy but with the size/quality of pics these days you have to shrink them down.

If you have windows you can download image re-sizer software that is simple to use, like this software. https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/
There are plenty of choices if you just google image resizer software. Or you can buy a Mac!:drink: |

Ok, Thanks to help from fellow OSO'ers dumbass CT (that's me) was able to get photos posted...Thanks all for the assistance. Chris |
One note to mention, The man in the white shirt in picture #5 is the famous "MASTER BLING", aka AXAPowell...code name Dave...yes, the man that sold me Chillin and took time out of his busy life to show me the ropes of Chillin The Most. .....it also was an excuse for him to fly his awesome airplane and show off the planes new interior... :Score-101010:
Love ya Big Brother....:ernaehrung004: :thankyouthankyou: |
