Silent thunder box
 

Well just ordered my tips for my 419. Has anyone on here taken off the silent thunder box and put tips on? I'm hoping they are 4" cut outs.. How hard was it and is the box thru bolted? What did you use to cover the holes if it was?

Took mine off my 271. Real easy 6 bolts I believe. A second person is a good idea to help hold it. I used 3m 5200 for the holes and put the transom bolts back in.

I just took mine off my 382 a couple months ago. There were already chrome tips in there. I just cleaned them up and also added the rubber flappers for some insurance against water splashing in. Super easy did it by myself. SJ
