New Formula owner 336 SR1
Well I have joined the Formula family in time to get a few runs in this summer. I went to Chicago Friday and purchased the '95 336 SR1 that was in the classifieds here. Chris was a fair guy to deal with and described the boat accurately and honestly so I fought traffic and picked her up.
Got up at 6am Saturday morning and power washed and scrubbed, was on the Saginaw River by 10am, met up with the guys doing the Saginaw Bay Fun Run at 11am, and was blasting my way out to Charity Island and Tawas and back to Bay City all weekend. Had a nice 2-3 ft chop on Saturday and 3-4' all the way home Sunday and the boat felt rock solid. I love the sound and performance of the 450s, though she is way under propped. Have a set of Rev 4s on the way to test next week. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Mont.../Formula%20336 |
Congrats, nice looking boat. Good luck with it and welcome to the Formula Family

Sweet looking. It looks great, especially for a 20 year old boat. That's the great thing about Formulas, treat 'em well and they look great for years.
Congrats. It was worth the drive to Chicago! |
Great looking boat, and I love the dash updates.
Welcome to the Formula family. Dave |
Yes, nice boat. I'm curious about the 450s as they seem rare. Basically like an hp500 except a 454 instead of a 502. What props are on it?

Hey I know that boat!!! Chris is a close friend of mine.. and has put a lot of money into that boat, should give you years of issue free boating.
I had the 353 on the lift a few boats down from where he had his docked |
Good looking boat! Congrats!
