Question about the 370 SS
 

I know there have been many upgrades/changes to the bells and whistles the 370 comes with over the years, but to my knowledge the hull design has not changed since it's introduction. I'm going to be in the market for a 370 this off season and was wondering if there are any model years that from a structural or assembly process point of view, make any particular year(s) more/less desirable?

PS - if you know any motivated 370 SS sellers, point them my way :)

No changes to hull design or construction since the model's inception.

I just bought a 370SS a few weeks ago. It is a 2005 w/496's. So far we have been very happy with it and it handles the LOTO slop great. We cruise at just under 40 mph. The hull has been around even longer than the 370 SS, as it is the Fastech hull with twin steps. The boat really maneuvers very well at speed.

What kind of fuel burn are you seeing with that set up?

Plan a mile a gallon overall and you will be close, most drivers will get just over that average. The hull is a similar build to fastech hulls, twin steps and grid stringer system. But it was never a fastech hull at over 10 feet wide. Only difference I know of over the years is around 2007 or 2008 they changed the rear section of the cockpit layout to have the rear facing seat area by the swim platform. If you anchor out a lot and swim that change is nice to have.

That's about what it get in my current boat... There are a bunch of 370's out there for good prices but I think im going to hold out for a 400 with diesels.

Are you talking about bigger one piece swim platform on the 2007 or 2008's rather than the smaller platform with an optional add on (I think that option started in 2005)?

No, I'm talking about the seat that faces the rear of the boat. It can be converted into a flat area to lay out on. I think it is on all the SS models now. It was introduced with the 350SS back in 2008 then retrofitted in other models, but the retrofit may have been 2009 or 2010 for the 370SS now that I think about it..

Oh, that is nice! The boats in my price range are older than that :)
