I am interested since I hate the plastic steps on mine, but I don't $1000 hate them. Not sure if I $500 hate them lol.
I am sure I $400 hate them though ;)

What year 336? Don't think they are a match.

Well, Jason (Smiley 27) sent me the dimensions for the ones he had made and they matched the ones in my 1995 336, except the ones he had made were thicker. All of the other dimensions matched right up. I could measure them again when I get home, but I am in another country right now

I am and still willing to make these for interested parties as I have said before. Just need a head count to move forward with pricing and time frames.

The Original Step Plate "Guy"

Dave

How do you keep track of those who want the step plates? I PMd you a while back but didn't get a response.

Thanks,
Dave

I think he's just pretty busy, have PM'd as well. FWIW I did contact Tim @ Marine Tech Concepts about them. The Formula (Dave's design) branded ones are silly expensive, but they have someone who is also making them locally that look pretty good. Cost is more in the $450 range. I still like the originals the best, but want to do something before the new boat gets here in a few weeks, so may not have a choice...

Figure AXA has a bunch on his plate.....We are completely redoing the original AXA 353 as we speak.... Dave, I'll take a new set of steps as well....:riding:...Lord knows the old ones need to be replaced...

Just an update. I ended going with the step plates from Tim @ Marine Tech, nice guy to work with. They are less than from Formula, but still much more expensive than the originals or alternatives out there. Design and construction is spot on, but I would recommend getting them raw and having them finished as you like locally. I got them polished in the interest of time and hassle factor, but ended up having to drop them off at my local guy anyway to have them polished. So, pretty happy with them overall, but will prob feel better once I forget about how much they cost. :faint2:
