I think he meant mooring cover

Splitdecision271 05-26-2016 08:21 AM

I think IDCE wants to know the color of the full cover and when you say full cover is it bow to stern full cover of just a regular cockpit/mooring cover that covers the glass and windshield frame

slowride 67 05-27-2016 12:32 AM

no thanks I have a cockpit cover and full boat cover. Just looking for bimini

Thanks anyway!!!!

There must be a stash of 312 biminis out there somewhere. My boat has all the mounting hardware, but no bimini in sight.

slowride 67 07-24-2016 07:56 PM

nope no luck yet....

Congrats on your new purchase!!!!!! Do you boat on the chesapeake bay?

boilerdaddy 07-25-2016 08:34 AM

The boat would have been built with 28" Bravo I props from Mercury Propeller.

Thanks, yes I boat on the Chesapeake Bay. Had her out yesterday running around some. I'm just south of Rock Creek.

Also about the props, i'm running 32p bravo 1's, I'd like to try a set of 30's but the 32's run pretty well.

slowride 67 07-26-2016 08:42 PM

Ok we are north of there near turkey point!!

Wow 32's is your boat have the original engines or do they have some work done to them? Mine came with modified 26's and engines are factory 502's but i am going to try some bigger props. once i get it back together...

RGPIII 07-26-2016 11:05 PM

turkey point on the south river? that's south of me. we will have to meet up some time, id like to see another one and how our setups differ.

no i believe mine may have come with 28's. only upgrade is stainless marine exhaust.

For your Bimini call these people- http://catalogue-us.anp.ca

You can get a full stainless frame and sunbrella top for under $700.00. I'm ordering one today for my 292.

slowride 67 07-30-2016 04:30 PM

thanks for the info will look into it

t500hps 07-30-2016 06:34 PM

312's with 502's or 454 MAGS came with 1.65 Bravos and 30P props. The 454 MPI came with 28's. If someone but 1.50 Bravo drives on the boat then 26's could be the right prop for the boat????

I had a 98 312 with stock 502's and those 30's were perfect for the boat. The guy that bought it from me sold it last year.......I installed A/C where the port-a-potti would go if anyone has that boat now.

Thats a good idea about the AC!!!! Would like to spend some overnights in the fastech. I just t bought mine this year first time out within two hours it dropped a valve seat locked engine up.... just got engine back the other day... hopefully next year i wont have any major issues. It has 502 mpi's with 26's on it now. I am going to change the exhaust with some kind of after market no more cast iron stuff.... along with some other things over the winter. I will find out over the winter what ratio the drives are.
Did you ever replace the fuel pumps? If so did you put stock mercrusier l fuel pumps on?
Thanks

get ready to spend some coin. Headers are super expensive and tend to leak and destroy motors

Did you find a Bimini top? Im looking for a Bimini, hardware, and full enclosure for my 97 312. The factory cover maker for Formula went out of business back then. The patters are gone and were never transferred to digital, so I've been told.
