Info needed on 353 for sale
Hey fellow Formula brothers! Was wondering if anyone had first hand info on a 2000 353 that Grand Sport Center has listed on Boat Trader.
Has 500EFI Blues, Trailer, and I love the paint job.
Need any and all info on boat and previous owner. Any info on Grand Sport would be welcomed as well.
Any members close by that could eye ball it for me?
Have my lake toy finished (see building a sleeper thread) and now I want to add a Blue Water Formula to the stable
Thanks in advance.

Is it this one?
http://www.grandsportcenter.com/pop-...la-353-fastech
I made an offer on it when the original owner was selling it but couldn't get together with him on price.
Contact Andy Howitt [email protected] He is the broker that I was working with and was very knowledgable and helpful and really knows the Formula boats as he is a dealer. Tell him I sent you to him.

It's been for sale for a while, I called on it too. My thought was with the hours on the boat it should have had the motors rebuilt (~800 hrs on the motors), they are still original.

I copied this from the listing posted by DKahnjob
Super nice 35 foot Fastech with only 480 hours – engine scan confirmed, freshwater Midwest boat in great shape! Imron “Firestorm” paint graphics, twin Mercury Racing 500EFI's – 470HP each, top ends were freshened at approx. 350 hours.
And the hour meters in the tach don't match, starboard shows 505

On its third owner. Formula shows no warranty claims filed on boat.
Any help would be great

Thanks Snowrunner
How close are you to Grand Haven? have you ever eyeballed this boat? Looks like its been a Great Lakes boat its entire life.
If your serious about the boat, I'll back off.
Hours on engines mean nothing to me, Pricing the boat expecting to rebuild engines in near future. Buddy of mine just bought a 98 353 outta Ga. with over 1000 hours on each engine. We ran it HARD all weekend with no issues. Some oil use of course.
Broker admitted to me over the phone that engines where using about a quart every 10 hours of run time.

Not looking anymore, found one in OH last month.
Saw the Georgia boat online, good to know 1000 hrs on 592 and they are solid. Mine is burping oil out the dipstick at WOT with only 320 hrs, top end was done already.
I'd visit it for you if I was closer, it's several hrs from me. The owner was still using the boat when I called and I never went out to see it.

Will probably go a look at this one before the snow starts flying in your world.
Can you tell me how long its been for sale?
