Fastest 242.
 

I know there was a chart on another thread listing the fastest 242s. It has not been updated since 2011. I bought 86242ls's boat. It currently has a 572hp 468. I have had a best of 73.8mph. It runs 72 anytime. Whats everyone running?

You might be the fastest around with a single engine. Back in the mid '80's there were a few 242 LS's around here with hot SBC's and Alpha SS drives pushing 80.

Tommy Hoffstetter built a 800 HP 502 based Chief for a guy here that put it in a '85 242 LS. Reportedly it ran North of 85 but we never got a confirmation.

This one runs 70. Dynoed 496hp. Has more compression and a 731 cam now so a little more.

I've been 70 so far on GPS, but my buddy running the phone's GPS dropped it while trying to hold on. I have not had her WOT but close. I'll get good numbers in the new season. Hoping to be high up on the list!

I would think that would run upper 70s, maybe flirt with 80. Do you have hydraulic steering yet?

No steering yet, but it's on the list for the new year.

Sorry... that's a 26P Bravo 1, not a 24P.
