Looking for a 271 Fastech- why so few

Hi All

I am a new guy on the block, looking to purchase a 271 fastech. Not too many out there, is there a reason for this? Any opinions on this boat? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to all replies.

There will be a lot of older 271 SR1s. Same boat just no step in the hull. 271s productions numbers dipped when they introduced the 292, partly the reason why they pulled it from the Fastech Lineup. 292 is also part of the reason why the 312 was pulled as well. Either people like them a lot and are holding on to them or just not a lot out there.

There is a member on here 97fastech that I believe has his for sale although I'm not 100% sure. It's very nice with an hp500.

I agree with 88242LS. I had a 1993 271 SR1 that we ran for 17 years and the boat still looked great when we sold it. We had over 800 hours on the 502 and it still ran strong. We had the full camper enclosure and would spend a lot of weekends on the boat when the kids were young. A lot of good memories.
