Ouch! I found water in my cabin Sunday morning. Not happy about it. After all day on the creek I had a little more. People in and out all day. Main reason I pulled the cockpit carpet. Going to re seal all around the fuel tank access panel and deck screws this evening.

Water can run from the rear (under the motor) to the front through the drain if enough water is in the bilge. I keep the stopper in that drain under th step and havnt seen a drop in there since. I also pull the drain plug on the ramp incline and let everything drain completely. I hope you dont have water under the floor because thats all bare plywood in there. Please share how your silicone job goes. Mine is starting to look ****ty and I could use some tips

Cutting it out at we speak. I never have water in the bilge. This is the first time I've have water under the step. And like I said it was after a rather heavy rain. The cover wasnt stretched tight so the floor in the cockpit got wet. I've found a few spots that the silicone wasnt secure anymore so I'm almost certain this is the problem. Not to mention it was clean clear water that was almost drinkable. Our rivers are brown lol

New silicone is laid down. Its supposed to rain friday so I'd for some reason the cover lears we will know if it's fixed. Right now I have the rear bench out due to the silicone job. Might go ahead and cut the holes for the speakers.

For the most part its a very simple job. Razor knife cut both sides of the joint, then pull it out. I then took a shop vac and a wire brush to remove the rest. Laid the new bead down and let her sit.

For anyone that thinks I cannot spell, it's the tiny keyboard on the not so smart phone that's messing me up.

TomZ 05-11-2017 06:54 AM

Sure....

TomZ 05-11-2017 06:54 AM
