White Formula Steering Wheel Wanted

Anybody have a White Steering Wheel from a Formula? Looking for a stock wheel possibly takeoff from an upgrade.
Let me know what you have and Happy New Year.

Did your boat come with a white wheel? I wasnt aware that was an option. What color scheme is your 242? Happy New Year.

Exactly, that is why it needs to be Formula White wheel (originally was Black). Mine is a 1987 Red/White scheme. I am redoing the entire boat nut/bolt rebuild (almost done) with many mods. Idea is to make it look like Formula factory one off. I am redoing the dash panels (all 6) Bright Red with white Gaffrig gauges (10 ea.) and 4" Chartplotter built into dash and white rocker switches. It is crying for a white Formula wheel in front of my Bolster (Formula). Yes the center floor storage locker is fully functional.
Thanks for your interest. Happy new year.

Wow! This is a project you really should share. Do you have any progress photos? The big cockpit on these boats lends alot of room for creativity. If you dont mind, I'm really curious now.Sounds awesome.

Thanks, I don't have photo privileges on OSO so for now cannot post pics. You are right about the large cockpit and the bolster makes it look much larger because of the open space under the bolster. I have left the laydown passenger seat stock for seating/lounging options. I have photo documented the entire project, almost 3 years. Almost everything has been changed but still looks Formula. My goal in workmanship is Factory Formula minimum. I can send you photos of any portion you like if you PM me your email. Lots of work cleaning up the rigging in the bilge and most proud of the two things everybody said could not be done, the Bolster w/operating floor storage and my "Roaring Thunder" exhaust. Everything mechanical is changed.
Any leads on a White Formula Steering Wheel?

I have the white wheel off my 271 but it looks really good on my garage wall

GLENAMY 242SS 12-31-2016 02:48 PM

I bet my Black wheel would look just as good on your garage wall. Is yours a Formula original with center piece, etc.?

oh6662b 12-31-2016 02:54 PM

I have one, thought it would be neat to put it in my 53 Ford pick up project but I will give it up to make an old bird look good again. Send me a pm.

Got the wheel from Dave yesterday, Big thank you to Dave, nice clean wheel. I put a detail job on it and looks as new. Also got the new Bird emblem for it as Dave found me one on e-bay.
Now to find a hub adaptor, 6 hole Dino style, so it can be mounted. OSO is great people.

http://www.cpperformance.com/p-390-6...l-adapter.aspx would this work?

GLENAMY 242SS 01-18-2017 07:24 PM

Mark, that is what I'm looking at. Everybody's prices for these are about the same. Every free part cost $200 to put on, not sure if I can afford anymore free parts. Thanks for looking for me.

masi242 01-19-2017 05:38 PM

in the spring i was thinking of a new steering wheel, so i assume this would be and easy conversion with that part.

GLENAMY 242SS 01-19-2017 06:07 PM

Correct our wheels are 7 bolt and all of the newer are 6 or 9 bolt. The Hardin, CP, Teague etc. 3/4" tapered adaptor is all you need. New center cap and bezel optional. What color you thinking?
