353 Engine Bay Air Inlet removal? Also bow rail bolt access in cabin.
 

Just doing a winter project to replace a custom speaker panel. The panel had plastic xmas trees holding it to air inlet, they used plywood (untreated) and it held until the board fell apart.

Replacing it with a starboard panel, but it won't accept xmas trees. Was looking to bolt it on, but there is no access.

Is this something simple? Removed the windshield screw and didn't budge, went to dinner after that and am trying to weigh my options. Bonding starboard is a challenge, so a fastener is needed.

While I'm asking, how do you access the rub-rail/ bow rail thru hole bolts in the cabin? Formula did a great job with the interior, haven't been able to figure it out.

For bow rails you need to pull down the skinny by long ceiling filler panels right above the seats. Our old boat had the hockey puck lights on this panel. There will be fist size access holes so use a 3/8 stubby drive. I ended up putting red loc-tite on all the bolts, they would work their way lose in 1 season. You will need a lot of patience and will have scraped up hands

Never worked on a boat where I didn't come away with fiber glass stuck in my fingers and losing a little blood - lol.

Thanks Rob, saw the small holes, didn't realize they were for bolt access.

Not seeing any fasteners holding the air inlets on, wondering of they used Plexus?
