Default Formula needs a fuel cap!

Hey, Formula owners! This is Scott Smith from Formula vintage boats. I am in need of one of these older white fuel cap covers so I can get it duplicated for future owners who drop them in the water at the fuel dock. If someone has one and would be willing to lend it to me to get it scanned for tooling, I will pay the freight to get it and send it back (or give you a new one once they are made), and give you a Formula polo for your trouble. Reply here or email [email protected] if you are interested.

I have been wondering what to if it drops to sea? Previous owner had been fueling up the boat and big waves snapped the wire and fuel cap went to bottom. Divers had taken it up (wire is of course still cut) then but if something like that happends where to get new one for 2002 271 Fastech?

We are working on getting a source. The original mold hadn't been used for so long that it developed corrosion pits. Our vendor is scanning an old cap and will make a temporary aluminum tool capable of pulling 200 or 300 pieces from. After that...no more caps!

Scott is there any way we can get on an email list so when new things are available we get a message? I would be interested in an AL gas cap!
