Some questions about a 311SR1

I just run in a 311SR1 for sale here in the Netherlands, now I have some questions...
She has twin 330 HP bravo engines, what would be the max speed? Does anyone now how much the average fuel consumption is at 1600 rpm and at full throttle?
Are there any special things I should look out for except transom, stringers and bulkhead
I'm definitely happy with my 242 LS but a 311SR1 is also very beautiful.

Greetz,
Johan

311's are great boats, timeless as they say, with 330's depending on if there tired or not 60/62 mph, its alotta boat to move, the 365 mags gets u up around 65/67 not sure about your consumption question, but we went from a single 502 to twins and its 1.25 to1.5 times cruising, but if were running hard then its double as they say, but as i said cruising around its really not alot more because the motor's dont work as hard,

311's are heavy boats and drink fuel. Period. It's the nature of the beast. To be efficient they really need to be run harder to get the boat out of the water. 311's have a 159 gallon tank... usable is probably 150 or so.... you're probably looking at a max of about 190 miles from a tank at cruise, maybe a little less. This is based on using ~35 GPH at a cruise RPM of 3500 and ~43 MPH cruise speed.

Can't really tell you about what the boat will do fuel-wise at 1600 RPM. The 330s will use about 7 GPH, but you'll be plowing and really not going anywhere at all.

The 311 is an awesome boat. The performance with the 330s will leave you wanting more. I understand that the 311's availability in Europe is probably pretty scarce, and this is probably a limited opportunity. If you could get some modern engine replacements, you'll really wake her up. No matter what, a survey is necessary. Transom, stringers, bulkheads, cabin (windshield can leak). I love mine!

A 330 uses about 25 gallons per hour wide open throttle

You WERE definitely happy with your 242 LS but then you went and ruined it by going for a ride in a 311SR1 :evilb: Good luck staying happy with your 242 now! :drool1:
The 311 would be happier with more horsepower, but only you can decide if it's enough for you... Like TomZ said get a survey and check her out thoroughly. I had a 311 a few years back and they are sweet boats!

I only saw the 311 on the pictures of the advertisement.
I'm very happy with the 242ls and actually it's a boat we've got for our son and he finds it's big enough, but daddy also likes to take it for a ride somtimes
We have a Princess 500 (50ft English boat) ourselves and had a 242ls 30 years ago but the 311 has always been on my mind.... the consumption is as I thought, I'll check it out next week, you never know :evilb:

I you want to know a litte more about this boot, maybe we could hook up. I have mine in the Harbor of Lith, close to Den Bosch. I am driving it for more than 10 years now, love it but like Tom said, they are heavy and need some power to move.
@1600rpm with mirage props you won't see i thing other than a huge bow right in front of you. From my experience, with mirage 23p props, 50 km/u (about 31mph) is as low you as can go before it falls back from plane.
