K-plane Indicator cable

Hi, New to the site and new to boating. I just purchased a 1990 Formula SR1 292. The port side K-plane indicator cable broke. I have a part number and I am thinking about replacing the cable myself. Is there anything that I need to know about tackling this job?

Where is the best place to purchase a replacement cable from?

Should be a regular old 33c cable, once you know the length you can get them pretty much anywhere. just type 33c cable into walmart.com or ebay or google...

You can tape the new one to the old one and pull it up through.

Thanks guys,

Does anyone know the length on the port side cable or have a place to research them? The boat is currently in the water. I would like to have the new cable in-hand when I knock the replacement out.

It was pretty scuffed but looks like 32377-003-0276

Not always. It depends on how many zip-ties the builder used when rigging the boat.
