Livorsi vs Autometer or Gaffrig Gagues
Looking to replace my original failing Gaffrigs (Tach hangs up). I actually like the quality of the Gaffrigs, but the bezels need some updates. Anyone know which hold up better? Livorsi or ProComp Marine?
I know if I go Livorsi that I'll need to do a lot of in-dash wiring changes. |
If your guages say Gaffrig Precision Instruments, they are actually Livorsi.
There was a lawsuit between Gaffrig Precision Instruments(Livorsi) and Gaffrig Performance and Livorsi lost the name. |
Didnt know that. These are the originals from 1998.

and if you look on the outside edge of the face under the trim ring it will say its made by autometer in tiny letters :D at least the gauges i had back then did

Will the Gaffrig or Livorsi gauges be an easy swap in a 311SR1? If not, other than stock VDO, is there other options without having to rewire the whole boat?
|
I had VDO in my 2000 280SS, was able to switch them to Faria (due to size of the VDO hole) without any wiring changes at all. I would assume new Faria and Autometer are the same wiring.
Would almost consider Faria for my replacements if they had the right color combos. |
Anyone know off hand what size the 311, tachs, speedo and smaller gauges holes are?
