Default Garmin unit fastech dash

Hey all
i have a 312 and looking for a good GPS unit. I currently have a 640maps but is very difficult to see it in day light. I am also looking to redo the dash so I think now is the time to replace.

wanted to know which units models everyone is using with good visibility in the day light

I fit the Simrad GO7 in my new 353 dash (Innotech). Nice unit, works to control my Fusion radio too.

I have a 1997 312 as well and I am looking to replace the complete gauge/dashl.One of my temperature gauges is not working all the time. Can't find one like it so time for an updated dash. I spoke with Steve at Innotech last week about carbon fiber panels and then sent him an email with a picture of the dash. He said he was very busy and I have not heard back from him. I was hoping to fit the Simard G07 in there along with 2 oil, 2 temps, volt, 2 tachs, 1 speed and a gas gauge if possible I hope.

Great view and function with my Garmin 7608XSV. The nav aid is just like auto routing on the street, awesome.

On a 353 I had to remove the Speedo to fit a GO7, I got the drawings of the panels from Formula. I re-drew them in AutoCAD, so I could move the gauges around to fit the GO7. Since I have the old 502's that pre date the digital era, I had to keep my mechanical gauges

The 7608XSV is an awesome unit too, but it will not fit in a 353 or likely a 312 dash(flush mount) with a bunch of gauges.

Nice 312 link below: Fastech dash redo with pics
