Default Took off my silent thunder

Took off my silent thunder today. Attempting to do what rambunctious did a while back and connect my exhaust to run straight thru the platform. Anyone else do this before. Any tips or tricks. What am I in for with this project. Platform came off pretty easily few snags but overall not bat. And I found to my surprise that it didn’t have any rot. Let the fun begin.

Hate to break that bad news. Decided to leave it off and bought a tubular swim platform for it. Was just afraid it wasn’t going to sound the way I wanted it to. So I’m just going to run angle tips.

Smoke Eater, When you get around to replacing the rubber gasket the part # is 3M X103BT it takes a full 25' roll to complete. That is the gasket that is original from Formula.
Well good info for others.

Are you going to get rid of the platform? Where are you located?

I really liked the silent thunder look. But it’s gone for now. Wife wasn’t happy with me getting rid of it but we came to an agreement

You'll be so much happier with the tubular platform. Sounds way better and looks great. This is how i did my old 242ls.
