We have a 330ss with 350Mags, rated at 300 HP, but I've no idea how much torque or where the 300HP is on the RPM. I was disappointed in the idea of small blocks for this boat, but they really impress me. The reality for us is we don't run the 330 that hard, in part due to water conditions, and in part due to the nature of that boat. So keep that in mind when I say I've never wished for more engine than what those 350 Mags can do, and I didn't expect that. We've got other boats for speed runs, but for moving a crowd, 22 people is our record so far - boat does GREAT, those 350s amaze me. They've got heart.

So, do some honest evaluation, and maybe the 383s will work for you and save $$$. Or, I do kind of wonder what blower motors would do in that hull....
