F311 fuel cap lanyard

My fuel cap does not have a lanyard so I am wondering where it goes, where I can purchase something, and how you attach it...thanks!

Isn’t it attached inside the fuel cap? Mine has a ball chain inside.

No ball chain. I see what looks like a threaded hole inside the cap (in the center, where a ball chain could be attached) but I do not see where to attach the other end (inside the fuel neck).
