Fuel sender

Got to looking in my boat and the fuel sending unit is missing. 1993 357 sr1. I can’t find anything on web about it and wondering if anyone has the part number? I have lavorsi gauges.

Missing? so the gauge reads empty all the time? They are all the same... you measure the depth of your tank and get one that is correct, they use resistance to tell the gauge what level it is.

this dude shows you how

FWIW on my old boat after swapping in a new one, it leaked. but I couldn't figure out why...
Finally got a competent mechanic. the new bolts were too long and bottoming out. Added a small washer to them and it never leaked again.

Yeah the sender is not in the tank.

So then you have a large opening into a vat of gasoline?! Might want to fix that... or drop a lit match... depending on your mood :)

Tanks empty and hole is covered.

Look up Fisheriessupply.com as I believe that's where I found one for my 89 292. Otherwise start googling VDO tube type fuel sender. You'll have to measure down into the tank to get the depth as they come in multiple lengths. Mine sits about an inch and a half above the bottom of the tank. Hopefully you still have the wires sitting down there that run to the gauge.
