Anyone have a picture of a notched transom on a SR1 hull?

Looking to see the difference as I understand 96 SR1's have a notched transom.

What does a notched transom do?

My understanding of the notch is with the running surface moved forward of the transom it helps to get cleaner water to the props. Kind of like stand off boxes but using the hull itself to do it.
If this is not right someone can school me too. lol
