1986 242 LS Glass
Hello,
I just bought a twin engine 242, the boat had the windshield removed. I would like to have the low profile black SR-1 style windshield built for the boat. Anyone know of a company up to the task? I need to recreate the black plexiglass slide panels for the cockpit storage areas. Anyone have photos and dimensions for those parts? Greatly Appreciated, |

I would give Taylor Made a call. They are super cool and can probably lead you in the right direction. They surely have a contact in your area that they are providing materials.

Congrats on the 242, are you referring to the older flat glass windshield? This may be easy to fabricate. The late 80’s windshields would be a bit more to accomplish due to the curvature of the glass.
Do you have any pictures of the boat? |

Greatly Appreciated, I want that boat. my son has been looking for that setup. if you ever want to sell it, please message me! unreal good luck with it, I like it without the windshield!!! Interior and engine bay photos PLEASE... Eye candy |
Nice looking boat !! If it were mine, I would be looking to see if I could get someone to fabricate a low profile fairing. I would look at aluminum for the weight savings. I imagine you are going to find a windshield a original style will cost $$$$$. Keep us posted.

Beautiful boat, great colors. I almost wish my 242 didn't have a windshield. Pain in the azz to get on the deck.
