What is the forward velocity of your drone? I think a "chase video" at high speed would be cool.

I have had several small drones in the past but keep toying with the idea of getting a larger, more stable one with high-performance camera capability. Which one is this that you got? I really like the video footage.

Who's flying it and from where? A chase boat?

DJI Mavic Air 2.

You can't be moving while flying, so I was flying from a friend's boat. I had hoped the auto tracking would be good enough for this stuff, turns out to get the shots I have to do manual. I just can't drive my own boat AND fly at the same time :(

Flying from the boat is easy. Landing's the fun bit!

the Air 2S is the newer version, which of course came out a month after I got mine after waiting almost a year between winter and a wrist surgery.

I'm looking at it too, it does 4k video and 90 mph, so I could better keep up with the toys!

Got a faster drone.
It can easily keep up, if I can keep the boat in frame!

But it's only a 1 axis gimbal, so it can get a little sideways...


DJI FPV Drone... tops out at 60 MPH in GPS mode, or 90 if you're crazy enough to use Manual Mode.

I wish the Mavic Air 2 did 60, that would be the best combo. Learning to fly FPV is... interesting...
