Draft on F311 SR-1

I will go out and measure BUT I was wondering if the draft (as stated in the brochure, see below) is to the bottom of the keel or the bottom of the Bravo drives?

My understanding is that it is to the bottom of the hull (keel).....the minimum depth of water to float the boat. I think if it would say “draft up” or “draft down”, that would include drive.

Roger that...I will measure and report back (with fuel load, etc...).

On my F-302 with TRS it was waterline to bottom of skeg, 3'-2" (38") was the spec. i measured as we had a low water issue at a mooring and it was pretty much spot on the 38"

You got me thinking so I just went and measured mine in back garage. I looked at pics of boat at where the water line was and measured to the keel, it was about 24”. I then measured with the drive down all the way and it was about 40” to the very bottom of skeg. The brochure says my boat has a 32” draft……definitely closer to the drive being down than the keel. I do have a 2000 bravo one not the 89’ that came with it…..not sure if they made the newer ones taller.

I think my understanding of it (measurement of draft) was wrong and Sammyj is correct…..to skeg not keel. If my boat itself is drawing 32” of water, I should be calling coast guard!

I believe it is too bottom of skeg.

If you look at you boat, how deep is the hull? Is it even 34"to the rub rail?

I did measure that earlier as well, mine was 45” from rub rail to keel at transom.

The old formulas are deep.

So, my 311 with 3/4 fuel floats with the waterline about 1" below the black paint on the back part of the boat. That black line is 26" above the keel. The skeg of the Bravo drives extends ~8" below the keel (drive full down), therefore a draft of 34" would be waterline (bottom of black paint at full fuel probably) to bottom of skeg...at least by my calculations.
