242 SS swim platform swap?
 

I have a 1987 242 SS without the silent thunder exhaust. I would like to know if the swim platform is the same dimensions ( mounting holes) as a 1989 223 . Any idea how difficult these swim platforms are to swap out? Pros and cons. Thank you ,Ron ps this is my first post!

Do you have through hub exhaust? If you have the tips now then I would just keep them and add a alluminum platform. It will function well and at the same time you do not have to worry about rotting of the silent thunder platform or the platform filling up with water. Just some ideas that maybe you did not consider.
