Rick: that looks a lot like mine. Without the windshield, I mean. Are you building a faring also?

Oh yeah, your boat's looking good.

Rick G 04-04-2003 10:39 AM

Thanks Chart . Its a 1982 so its more like Jon's. I just have the windshield off I'm hoping to get Jon's old one and make a cut down version maybe with white aluminum panel inserts. But for now the windshield will go back on , got two young kids and I need the practicality. Rick G.

What I meant was the "sleak no-windshield or faring look like an offshore fishing or diving boat" I could tell your deck was more like Jon's from all the hours I spent on his deck in Janurary. And there are BIG differences between the two generations of 302's. I did not realize how much until getting back to St. Louis to look closely at my 85. Jon mentioned you designed foot rests with a built in step to access the deck? do you have pictures of them?

Sean 04-04-2003 12:14 PM

just curious...why did you reposition the exhaust tips?

Rick G 04-04-2003 01:57 PM

Chart sorry man I was confused. The pictures I took of the foot wedges are not digital and I have to have them scaned be patient I think you guys will like them , I will also try to get some better pictures of how I repositioned the throtlles. Sean my exhaust tips existed at the water line of the boat such that at rest the tips were half submerged in the water. They are now located above the water line almost in the same location as the factory SR1 type 302 would have been. Rick G
