Cuda,
I really have enjoyed it. I rides much better than my 271 did. I never thought two more feet and another motor could make that much difference. Last summer I installed a mermaid AC/heat unit where the cooler storage use to be under the sink. I think it would be a good option for Formula to offer. I took it out last weekend and was running 70 mph with 3/4 tank of gas. |
John, need info on that AC/heat unit

MO-POWER....What year is your bird? Is it a 272? I am thinking of moving up and have looked at several on line....What kind of access do you have to your engine compartment? Do you have any pics of the engine compartment.....

Bad-habit,
Mines a 1989 272. Two big blocks are tight. Worst thing is the sea water pumps  . I finally got it down to an hour each. My new engines have crank mounted pumps. This way I can kneel on the bad seat , reach down remove three screws , loosen the forth , and change the impeller in 15 minutes:cool: . Just tried to post a pic. of the engine compartment but it was too big. I'll try to pm you. OOPS , can't send a pic on pm:mad: I also searched for nine months from NH to VA to find one nice enough.:( |
Troutly: What did you use....Ive always been partial to Marine-Tex:D Nice ride......
