Kaama Water Temp Question

I JUST REPOWERED MY 357 KAAMA WITH GEN6 ROLLER502!THE WATER TEMP IS ALWAYS COLD WITH THE KAAMA SETUP BECAUSE OF NO TSTAT!HAS ANY BODY RETROFITTED A TSTAT DEVICE OR DOES ANY BODY KNOW A WAY TO GET TEMP UP SO THE MOTORS WILL LAST LONGER AND BETTER POWER!COLD TEMP CANT BE GOOD,THERE NEEDS TO BE A TRANSFER OF HEAT FOR THE MOTORS TO LAST!ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!

Mine doesn't have a t stat either. It has crossovers and the temp never gets up, unless a sea strainer is clogged.

How did the boot go on?

the boot went real well,it is a little shorterthan original but after some patience and some hot sun,we were finaly able to get it on.ii ran the boat with no more engine problems, finaly, but i think my last head problem was because of the drastic change in temp, the combustion chamber getting real hot whiched caused the valve seat to loosen and drop, this is why i need to figure out a way to keep the temp more consistant, even knowing the gauge doesnt change!i would hate to destroy another motor.soon as the boots come in ill send u one!

Yes, the newer boots are a little shorter. That's so they don't pinch when trimmed up. That's why I put it on the prop side as far forward (boat side) as possible.
