311SR1 pros and cons
Considering a 311 SR 1 w/454's and Bravo 1's any information or insight is appreciated
|
I gave you my opinion in chat the other night. It sounds like a helluva deal. Did you see it yet?
|
I love mine. It's great in the rough stuff, definitely my favorite aspect of the boat, besides the Formula quality. I haven't gotten into the "chat" room yet, wish I'd been in that one Cuda was talking about. What's the info on it? If you end up with one, swap the props to Hydromotive Intimidator Quad IV's, you won't believe the difference, at least over the Mirage that came with mine. If it has the "silent thunder" exhaust on it, I can give you some ideas how to modify it so it runs better.
Sounds better too. Keep me posted on what you do.... |
Drove it today and your correct regarding the ride..........very smooth in a pretty good LOTO chop too.
|
You will be hard pressed to find a better built boat than an old Formula. Very solid ride. Does it have 454 Magnums? Good luck!!:) :)
|
Well Lutze......... WHAT IS THE DEAL????? :D:D

What are you looking to get for your 311? What are you getting for top speed with the 502's and how many hours are on them? |

Fantastic! What engines are in that bad boy to get those speeds? As I recall, you said it had already been converted to Bravos.
|
Great looking ride. Maybe think about painting the hatches white. Nice job....

Cuda
Slightly modified 454's (cams, rockers, headers, manifolds, carbs and exhausts) Driver is stock. (well maybe slightly modified too) :D |

That IS a nice looking old bird. The bolsters are interesting though. They don't look like standard issue Formula-McCloud bolsters from that era. Have they been replaced. They look real nice, just not like the originals. All of the originals I have seen have almost flat or horizontal arm rests. The ones that boat slope pretty sharply. However, the top back section looks identical to stock.
Just wondering!! Nice boat man!! |
