Bustn,
I don't want to give out my age but I've gone there since I was a kid( in the 50's:eek: ). Many years at Sandy Point then recently at NASWA. Gawd ,I love that place. It's just a darn shame it's an 8 hour ride each way for me. Just got to keep in mind the 150' rule and watch the noise. I got a ticket (no mufflers) with my last boat:rolleyes: The silent thunder is a blessing. |
mopower,
We stayed at the NASWA last summer too! It was 4th of July week, awesome! It got a little noisy at night, but not because of the people at the bar, but the HARLEY'S on the road next to our room!!! Next time, we'll rent a house somewhere wth a dock. Better for the family. :D And yes, that clean water up there makes me wonder why I go boating in the smellaware river. Dave (toolman) |
Tool,
I was there 7/29 to 8/3 last year. Didn't make it this year. Engines still don't won't to idle when put in gear and all I'm doing is living with it till October when they come out again:( I'll swear the cams are in to advanced:mad: . Another 6 weeks or so....we'll see;). We stayed in the three story building across the street and it was noisy then too. Seem as though bikes are popular there. My boss RODE his bike all the way up there this year. And they complain about BOAT noise:rolleyes: |
