Prop Pitch Question
 

I would like to get an idea what size props ( 3 blades) The guys with 302 formula's are running and what speed and RPM they get. Currently I'm running 25 pitch and get only about 60 hpm on GPS at 4100 RPM. I think I am over propped. What are you experiencing Thanks Rick G.

4100 RPM at WOT is definitely too low (overpitched). You didn't say what motors you have but we'll assume they are at least 350-360 horse. My 311 which is real similar in weight to your 302 has stock 454 mags (365 hp or so). I'm turning stock Mirage 3 blade 23s and run about 4800 to 5000 rpm. Sounds like you need to go down to at least 23s maybe even 21s.

There alot smarter prop guys than me on these boards. Post you question on the technical board, you'll get much more exposure and plenty of suggestions from the smart guys. Good luck.:cool:
