Nice upgrade, you didn't wanna move up to the 3/4ton? Those things looks so funny with that tiny bed IMO.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on a new SRW Danali HD... Decided to just buy the wheels and hold of till I can find a nice used one.

Jordan,

Honestly no, the ramp is 1 mile from my house, if that, I drive a lot so the gas mileage would kill me, my 05 towed pretty well, the 14 how's better, more importantly it stops way better, now with the hydrohoist I tow even less, and make 1-3 trips a year that aren't much further then 100/120 miles on the thruway, when I take one I will know for sure how much better she tows, right now I'm getting 17-18 mpg with a good mix of city and highway. I can't figure out why GM hasn't come up with a revised 3/4ton gas engine package, the 6.2 they stick in half's blow away the 6.0, I wish I could have gotten a 6.2 but couldn't afford all the other upgrades they stick you with. Honestly with the exception of towing my truck never "works" its a over waxed over cleaned toy and the prize of the driveway, if I didn't tow I'd have a Tahoe.

Also the tow natzis always start on me, but they forget today's half ton has more power and better braking capabilities then the mid 90's 3/4 tons, wonder how the hack they moved all them 311's back then lmao

I get 17-18 average as well, but diesel obviously costs more. lol If I was deleted I would gain 2-3 MPG they say. Something I plan to do, it just has not been a priority for me. The longer I wait the more I regret waiting. Also no emersions in my county! EFI Live + Exhaust ~ 1,000$. My old LB7 Duramax would get 24 on a flat highway all day.

I tow allot, and while towing 10K I bet my truck would get 5-8 MPG better than your old 1/2 ton. Not sure about the new ones do on fuel under load... HD trucks hold their value a little better then 1/2 tons IMO as well, and the diesel option obviously just adds to that.

with my 05 I would get 10 mpg towing the 303, thruway, the little bit i did with the 14 its was about the same, but more comfortable and truck was much happier,
