The first boat ride will be next wekend on the St. Croix!! More pictures to follow after the trip. |
Thats a very cool and unique formula you've put together. Looks absolutely awesome.
|
WOW you got that together FAST. Nice job and it looks great.

SWEET JOB.
Looks like a completely different boat with the faring / hatchs and colors (been lurking for awhile). :D And on a personal note; thanx for taking another of those "Palm Beach" colors schemes off an other wise perfectly good Formula :D |
Re: Project 311 SR1
i have an 87 311 with 454's toped with 250 B&M blowers turning 28 4 blades through TRS drives and my GPS speed at 5200 rpm is 88 MPH.aprox 600 hp per side. You should be able to make 75 mph with 26 4blades or 27 3 blades if your engines are not tired

Russ,
Tom and Gary at Hydromotive are very knowledgeable and helpful and I will be contacting them for props on the 382 this summer. It sounds like your boat runs very strong for the set you have, up here in the fresh water the 311's with mags run more like mid sixty's. It takes a lot of power to move these 311's but with a couple 500+ hp motors it acts like a totally different boat. |
Well I think it should move along pretty well with that power, like to hear the results of this project.
|
Trust Me! I will post! Would post more on here...but so like many Drag Racing (land) forums...lots of BS! lol....If I wanted all-out speed...different hull..I want a FUN Lake MI boat...reliable...yet FAST when REQUIRED!!! Love the work u guys are putting into your 311"s!! I feel are an AWESOME boat!
|
Let us know the results, I am curious how it reacts to the power. I had mine out yesterday with 4 people full fuel and hot weather with glassy water got 70 on the gps. Have been seeing 72 most of the time.
I piped straight through the swim platform and although I didn't expect a performance gain it picked up about 2mph |
